What to Expect During Your Renovation

  • Time on Site: Approximately 4 to 6 weeks for a comprehensive strip-out and rebuild. Your trade programme is confirmed in writing in advance.

  • Facilities Planning: The bathroom will be fully decommissioned during work. If it is your home's sole facility, we coordinate closely to schedule services or advise on temporary amenities.

  • Waterproofing Excellence: The waterproofing membrane is the unseen layer that protects your home's structural framing. We prepare all substrates strictly to NZ standards, apply certified membrane systems, and complete statutory flood testing before a single tile is laid.

  • Council Consent Clarity: Most like-for-like fixture replacements are exempt from building consent under Schedule 1 of the Building Act. If your project involves moving plumbing drains or structural walls, we verify consent requirements during your home visit.

  • Site Care: Daily cleanup, protective runner coverings on adjacent floors, and contained waste disposal.

How It Works

  1. Initial Scope Call: A quick discussion regarding layout, fixture choices, accessibility requirements, and budget expectations.

  2. In-Home Measure & Feasibility Check: We inspect water pressures (mains vs low pressure), pipe positions, and ventilation requirements.

  3. Fixed Itemised Proposal: Line-by-line pricing covering demolition, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, tiling, fixtures, and painting.

  4. Written Building Contract: Price, specifications, and project duration locked in writing.

  5. Construction & Handover: Managed trade delivery, rigorous waterproofing verification, and spotless handover.
